Pedes, the most important election of our lifetimes is upon us. For the Christians among us I plead with you to pray with me for the healing and restoration of our nation, for justice and judgement on the evildoers, and for the hand of God to bless our president.
Grant not, O LORD, the desires of the wicked; do not further their evil plot, or they will be exalted! (Psalm 140:8)
Many rights that we conservatives hold dear can be legitimately debated by honest Christians on both sides of the aisle: gun control, big government, taxation, welfare, etc. It would be so much easier if we were in simpler times and those were still the topics du jour, but we find ourselves diametrically opposed to a mainstream party and their agents in government and media who tolerate and even encourage infanticide, child abuse, violence in the streets, suppression of religious rights, corruption, extortion and bribery at a level we have never before seen.
They are beholden to and supportive of godless, oppressive communist China, and they are in favor of America's fundamental transformation into atheist socialism. How can American's expect justice with Joe Biden at the helm; the very embodiment of extortion, bribery, greed, and transparent dishonesty? C'MON MAN.
By justice a king builds up the land, but he who exacts gifts tears it down. (Proverbs 29:4)
You shall not pervert justice. You shall not show partiality, and you shall not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and subverts the cause of the righteous. (Deuteronomy 16:19)
For decades we Christians have blindly accepted the lie that we are to remain silent in the political sphere, and that our Christian beliefs are incompatible with politics and good governance. For many years now we and our nation have been reaping the consequences of our failure to act; for our failure to participate. Right now we are in a desperate battle for the soul of our nation; its very survival is at stake.
Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people (Proverbs 14:34)
If we know of the evil, corruption, and lies of our politicians and we remain silent and do not expose them, are we not complicit?
Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. (Ephesians 5:11)
Like a muddied spring or a polluted fountain is a righteous man who gives way before the wicked. (Proverbs 25:26)
Obviously we must vote, and educate ourselves and our neighbors, but we should also realize that God answers prayers and changes the way he acts in response.
And I tell you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. (Luke 11:9-10)
if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14)
Furthermore, we are commanded to pray for all people including our leaders.
First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. (1 Timothy 2:1-2)
Personally, I try to pray daily that our president would be successful in draining the swamp. I don’t exaggerate when I say that if Donald Trump can’t purge our corrupt bureaucracy, nobody can. If he fails, there is none other that will put in the effort to clean house like he has. We will forever be oppressed and ruled by thousands of little tyrants who imprison their enemies for minor offenses while their own heinous acts and those of their allies go ignored.
So the law is paralyzed, and justice never goes forth. For the wicked surround the righteous; so justice goes forth perverted. (Habakkuk 1:4)
When a land transgresses, it has many rulers, but with a man of understanding and knowledge, its stability will long continue. (Proverbs 28:2)
Take away the wicked from the presence of the king, and his throne will be established in righteousness. (Proverbs 25:5)
I pray that God uses our president and his movement to expose and purge evil.
For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. (John 3:20)
A servant who deals wisely has the king's favor, but his wrath falls on one who acts shamefully. (Proverbs 14:35)
A wise king winnows the wicked and drives the wheel over them. (Proverbs 20:26)
It is plain from reading the news every day that our nation’s corrupt socialist tyrants are in a panic, and they know that their backs are against the wall.
When justice is done, it is a joy to the righteous but terror to evildoers. (Proverbs 21:15)
The LORD has not forgotten us! Whether in this life or the next, we will see justice for all the evil in the world.
The wicked plots against the righteous and gnashes his teeth at him, but the LORD laughs at the wicked, for he sees that his day is coming. (Psalm 37:12-13)
Thanks for reading pedes! Join me in praying for our president and for the defeat of evil on election day! God bless Donald Trump, God bless America, and THANK YOU JESUS FOR THEDONALD.WIN!
Amen!
