And he didn't even sink the Titanic, it was an insurance job and they sank the sister ship.

Never heard this one. Any other info?

4
TRUMP420KUSH 4 points ago +4 / -0

Basically the original ship they built was damaged a few times and it was a financial burden for the owners. So they built a brand new ship that was almost identical to the original that now had a clean title and history. They swapped the boats and sent the old one out to sink. They could now make an insurance claim and basically double up.

Thats the quick rundown of what i remember reading.

Here's one thing I've found so far:

  1. Limit itemized deductions A ninth change Biden calls for is a cap on itemized deductions of 28%. This is to say that for each dollar of itemized tax deductions, including charitable contributions, a taxpayer or couple filing jointly would only receive a maximum benefit of $0.28. This 28% limit would hold true even if a filer is paying a higher marginal tax rate.

If this sounds in any way familiar, it's because the 28% itemized deduction threshold was championed by President Obama in the 2010s, as well as supported by his then-Vice President Joe Biden.

Dergy [S] 10 points ago +10 / -0

The 28% the Obama plan had included deduction of mortgage interest: https://www.fool.com/taxes/2013/04/11/how-the-obama-budget-would-change-your-taxes.aspx

11
Dergy [S] 11 points ago +11 / -0

The first and most obvious answer is that middle-class tax brackets would go up. Middle-class families by and large fall into the 12%, the 22%, or the 24% tax rates on the margin (that is, on their last dollar subject to income tax). If Biden gets his way, these tax brackets would rise to 15%, 25%, and 28% (respectively). https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/if-youre-in-the-middle-class-joe-biden-wants-to-raise-your-taxes

8
Dergy [S] 8 points ago +8 / -0

That equates to about $1,500 a year at 50k there.

7
Dergy [S] 7 points ago +8 / -1

This fact checker said the tax brackets wouldn't change https://checkyourfact.com/2020/10/16/fact-check-joe-biden-federal-property-tax-increase/, so now you have to decide if this "fact checker" who has no expertise in the area of taxes https://twitter.com/AtienzaElias or this guy who does have tax bonafides: https://twitter.com/ryanlellis is correct.

7
Dergy [S] 7 points ago +7 / -0

And as far as the claim about the Social Security part, that's true. Even left-wing Snopes agrees that it's true: https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/biden-tax-social-security-1983/

2
MeatloafFvck 2 points ago +2 / -0

I remember this

8
Dergy [S] 8 points ago +8 / -0

All right. Found this that would make the claim largely correct. If I'm interpreting this correctly, a person making $50k a year would get $6,000 less per year. See if that's what it's saying to you too in Table 5:

https://taxfoundation.org/joe-biden-tax-plan-2020/

In addition, you would have the Obamacare mandate reinstated.

7
Dergy [S] 7 points ago +7 / -0

Here it shows that the 401k's are definitely going to be affected: https://www.foxbusiness.com/politics/biden-proposal-overhaul-401k-small-businesses-cut-benefits

26
xchamp777 26 points ago +26 / -0

I don't think the part of the 3% tax on home value is correct. I've never seen that. Besides, "40s, 50s, and 60's" just sounds suspicious. If anyone knows exactly where this claim is found in Biden's tax plan, I'd love to know. Because it needs to be shared widely if true (I just don't think it is).

10
Dergy [S] 10 points ago +12 / -2

It says it's found starting page 40. The property taxes in northern states are already like sacrificing your first born every year. This would be a monstrous add.

I skimmed. They're just saying what they'll spend on. All fluffy free stuff for people who deserve it - childcare, all sorts of crap, govt will replace gas vehicles with electric and create jobs as a result. No details on where they get the money from that I can find but I admit I got sick of even skimming it (I fully read through the first 20 pages or so before I wanted to hurl). e.g. middle of pg. 81, $50K student loan forgiveness for teachers - WOW. FREE EVERYTHING, including pre-K of course. Because the rest of public schooling is going so swimmingly.

Postal 16 points ago +16 / -0

Damn, I want a link to this. Seems the stuff I'm finding isn't pointing this out, but bundling it in some other top-level terms.

5

This tax on your house got snuck in with the obamacare abomination... to no ones surprise, the democrats are gonna stick with this massive new theft plan. Get these motherfuckers out of here.

Edit; it was proposed by the 0bama administration, as another funding mech for 'free' healthcare, I do not think they got it started yet. I do notice the democrats still think it's a peachy idea tho...

2
MeatloafFvck 2 points ago +2 / -0

There was no 3% tax on your house every year in ObamaCare there was an extra tax if you sell your house and make over $250k it I remember correctly

2
Abovethefray 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yeah. I kind of said that, I thought. It was floated during the dark days of obamacare, not implemented I guess.

I do find it interesting that democrats still talk about it. Motherfuckers never give up on an idea to squeeze more money out of productive citizens...

2
MeatloafFvck 2 points ago +2 / -0

There is or was a 1.5% tax on all capital gains if you make over $250k in the Obamacare law

in commie denmark, taxes are totally out of control.

we have a basic tax rate of 50%, progressive top tax adds 15%. There are some mechanisms that CAN lower this to around 53% depending on circumstances.

we have 25% sales tax, and INSANE taxes on almost anything you can imagine.

for example on the total cost of electricity, 80% is taxes - this is of course paid for AFTER you already paid more than half in taxes.

Gasoline/Diesel is also taxed to hell.

Cars have taxes of up to 180% (and it even used to be higher)

Take it from someone who lives in a socialist hellhole, you do NOT want this to happen to your country. the USA is already totally fucked with taxes, but atleast it has not been given aids yet. I am telling you, YOU DO NOT WANT THAT TO HAPPEN!

0
Dergy [S] 0 points ago +1 / -1

That's why the Communists keep pushing those cheesy social programs on us, as an excuse to tax us more.

3
nonUSdonalder 3 points ago +3 / -0

it is a massive uncontrollable beast. The more you get dependent on the handouts, the more votes you get. It is extremely difficult to break out of, I am not sure if it is even possible to do via voting. Nobody is simply willing to vote out the handouts they themselves get.

I urge everyone that reads this to do whatever they can to stop the communists from taking over, for you do not know what you have lost until it is gone.

1
Dergy [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

I know. We got stuck with Social Security. Hopefully we'll be able to phase it out.

5
JAFWguy 5 points ago +5 / -0

Is there a real Tax person that can confirm this?

14
Cledus 14 points ago +14 / -0

CPA fag here. I've been looking high and low for the Biden tax plan and I haven't found it anywhere. I'm not disputing the numbers, but I want to see the plan for myself because some of the numbers and claims seem a little off.

2
Vadernocturnus 2 points ago +2 / -0

How the fuck are some of these analysts breaking down Bidens tax plan?

2
MeatloafFvck 2 points ago +2 / -0

Maybe it’s in the Green New Deal plan

-4

2

then repost it when you find it. just reading through this you can tell a bunch of people have wasted their time looking for it and you're an asshole for being called out on your lack of source material but you STILL won't take down the post.

idk why you would post it in the first place if you haven't confirmed it to be true.

not cool dude. not cool.

-1
Dergy [S] -1 points ago +1 / -2

You're still here and still whining? Do you do that a lot?

1
boondockspank 1 point ago +1 / -0

lmao i just spent about 7 seconds scrolling through that original thread and i was able to count TWELVE fucking comments from you trying to justify your unsourced FAKE NEWS as maybe having "something to it".

Just so we are clear, you look like a frothing at the mouth retard who doesn't know the difference between fact and fiction and even worse, you actually think there are people out there as fucking dumb as you are who will also eat fake news like its made of paint chips.

Furthermore, you STILL didn't provide any source information for your fake news article and kept commenting over and over about how "there's something to it". What is there that's "to it"? Is it something you feel but can't see? Because around here we do facts over feelings. In fact, we typically leave the feelings (and dumbassery) for the children and the democrats.

So, with all that said, go sit in the fuckin truck the men here have work to do and you're just getting in the way.

1
Dergy [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

I live in Washington. In king county, there's no such thing as a house anywhere near 100k.

I will 100% lose my house and burger flippers will be able to afford it instead.

Fuck you straight to hell, never trumpers. This is exactly what you end up with when you're so fucking stupidly ignorant.

They don't mind though because those faggots don't work

4

Yeah I need a link. I tried to find their tax plan but no luck—this could potentially red pill my sister and brother in law. I’ve tried everything else haha

3

Biden has OPENLY said he will raise taxes even beyond the level they were at before Trump's tax cuts. He's also voted for every tax hike that he came across, for decades.

If you have a decent full-time job, even a few years after college, you will be in this bracket.

2
ikuyas 2 points ago +2 / -0

In a way, "tax plan" doesn't matter. They are going to raise taxes 120% sure. Do you really think they are going to reduce tax?!? Do they have any intention to boost the U.S. economy? What is good for Globalist to implement policy to boost U.S. economy? Globalist is to shit out the manufacturing to China, shut down U.S. economy, and help justify more authoritarian government to control the flow of goods and services. How do you finance free health insurance for illegal immigrants get, providing free college of several millions?

2
boondockspank 2 points ago +2 / -0

I would love to read it but I can't find any biden tax proposals with 40 50 or 60 pages. I looked bc i saw this meme last night.

States will secede because of this tax plan. It will cripple the US and probably start a civil war

1
plez 1 point ago +2 / -1

What the fuck is a "$100k home?" No house costs that unless you're talking about a trailer home. AND EVEN THEN you're going to be hard pressed to find one in decent shape for that price.

5
logicallyevil 5 points ago +5 / -0

I'm closing on a $100k house Friday. 1 1/2 story. 4 bed 2 bath. Large yard. Only downside single car garage... But that's what all that extra space in the back yard is for next year. New windows and siding (March) new roof (Sept). Needs a new back door to replace the original, but that's about it. $1000/yr property tax because it's a corner lot.

3
Dergy [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

lol. You live in the north. You easily get a 2,000 sq. ft. home with four bedrooms, acre of land, for even less than that in the south. You're really gonna hate it to find out our property taxes are only $900 a YEAR too.

2
NadlersPants 2 points ago +2 / -0

I just bought a 2k square foot home with a fenced in yard and garage for 55k. Quarter acre fenced in yard.

The monthly payment is like a couple expensive restaurant meals.

1
The_kool_mom 1 point ago +1 / -0

Not asking you to doxx yourself, but are you willing to say what state you’re in? I’m in Texas and have extensive experience with real estate and you can’t get that kind of sq footage for that price even in a dead small town, from what I’ve seen.

1
thisguy883 1 point ago +1 / -0

You can easily find a decent home for that price here in Texas.

1
The_kool_mom 1 point ago +1 / -0

Um, like where? I’ve lived in Austin, San Antonio and Dallas and you can’t get jack crap for 100k.

1
not_a_shill 1 point ago +1 / -0

A facebook copy pasta that cant even tell you the page number? This has got to be a false flag so that libs can deny any accusations about Bidens tax plans.

1
Shamb3 1 point ago +1 / -0

The 3% tax on the value of my home would raise my taxes 12% to about 42%... I already work one out of three hours for the government... getting pretty close to every other hour..

1
Dergy [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

I think what that's saying there is, you get a standard deduction now at 28%, but Biden will do away with that where you'll have to pull out all the receipts again. The last time I had to do taxes, the best I could come up with in a good year was 25% deduction. I think that's where the 3% is coming from. I can be corrected on that, though.

2
Spongebob1808 2 points ago +2 / -0

If someone could sort through this to confirm it would be great....

1
HenkZeilstra 1 point ago +1 / -0
