u/Long_time_lurder is very correct. As long as Twitter's Machine Learning algos aren't smart enough to adapt to this on the fly, then engineers will need to go in and update the code themselves to account for this new dataset.
The only problem: Twitter is in CA and it's 4pm there right now. So a good chunk of their workers may still be online (in tech some people walk out the door at 4pm, but it varies widely by person).
Today is Tuesday. I'm guessing people will have their laptops open until 5pm PST. But it will probably take more hours of work for them to get a handle on something like this. Potentially a couple days, depending.
So it's a toss-up over whether or not they could patch this hole before we've already blown the lid off and informed the public.
This. You have to manually train an image classifier before it can detect it. If we have thousands of autists uniquely modifying images they are powerless to censor us.
well that's the thing, I think we're providing them free training material for their algos that could bite us in the future. But that can only happen if they're allowed to exist after Trump drops the hammer on Silicon Valley.
If they improve their anti-anti-censorship measures our weaponized autists will find a way to develop better anti-censorship techniques.
That takes work. The more individuals making modifications in different ways that there are, the harder it is for them and the more will slip through.

Also put filters over, or maybe a mesh like jail bars. The more you mess with it the better.

This will be a great way to test how bad Twitter's image recognition algos work. If we can trick them with stuff like this, we should be fine.
I don't know if Twitter uses Facial Recognition or not. I know that if I use Google Photos it can identify every person in every one of my pictures.
