There are various tiers to the shadowbanning that Twitter employ, but that's one of them.
Mine for example has 'reply deboosting' which is what we're talking about. I never say anything that breaks their TOS or anything nasty. I tweet very reservedly.

Gets even worse, if you love the fact that, say, Mario Odyssey had Mexican inspired culture designs, you're response is suppressed while those that demand it being removed, or outright banning the game, are the first at the top. The reverse happens too when condemning riot violence.

You get shadowbanned when triggered leftists report you and block you. Every time I comment I can guarantee 60% of the liberals that read it block me. Automated bots then take action on accounts that are mass blocked or reported and banish you to the “see more comments” section.
However, if you comment enough after that and get positive interaction (likes and retweets) then eventually your account goes back to normal. I have tested this myself with the above website to check your account restrictions. It works, but don’t expect it to work for long if you’re the type to hit the trenches of twitter comments against liberals. They’ll reee and report/block you enough to get you banished again.
Since liberals are triggered and sensitive snowflakes the system works in their favor. I have blocked I think 3 people in 10 years on twitter even when they say stupid liberal bullshit.

Basically it just means the algorithm has determined you aren't a person they want to promote, so all your replies will do that. It happens occasionally even to very popular right wing accounts who get tons of engagement, which makes me think it's likely influenced by liberal babies reporting/blocking you for hurting their feelings.
