Actually, reddit was lying about upvote numbers for a long time by reducing them to a fraction in an effort to promote certain subs while minimizing others. Then they got called out for it and changed coding so the numbers shown would reflect the actual totals. I remember when they started showing the real numbers and posts on the front page of T_D went from 1k-2k to 15k or 20k overnight.
Haha I remember that glorious few hours when the first three pages of /r/all was all T_D. The few hours when their algorithm wasn't suppressing us.
This site is so much better than Reddit ever was though.

Mods really outdid themselves with the migration. I admit, I didn't have high hopes. I figured we'd go the way of voat or the 100 9ther reddit alternatives.
But God damn, they really ran a tight fucking ship. It's incredible. The content on reddit has only gotten worse anyway, but even the UI here is 100 times better. I can't even tolerate navigating reddit at this point.
I was skeptical at first as well. I remember there being a pretty small number of people here after the initial migration, which was pretty disheartening. I'm glad to see that this site has grown so much, even if all my posts or comments are drowned out. I've not been back on reddit since March.
My account was finally permanently suspended yesterday ironically right on my 9th reddit cake day. Such a blessing in disguise, it was the last of the mainstream "social sites" I still used but it had definitely become very sour to even go and seeing the constant lie. It's really a nasty poisonous place now days.
50,000,000 page requests within 24 hours yesterday.
Mine get buried, but fun to participate. Getting buried means high energy traffic!

l'm not even American and l'm simultaneously counting the minutes to November 3rd and flabbergasted that it's so flipping close already... l also have that tingling feeling in my chest when l think about the three SCOTUS and the dumpster fire that the democratic party has become and the margin by which Trump is going to win and the posts full of salt compilations that we're going to be getting. l'm either excited like l've never before been in my life or l'm having angina pectoris. I wont lie, I kinda believe nate silver a lot, and I have been demoralized. But then I keep seeing joe bidens shitty 30 person rallies and our rallies with thousands of people at them, and then I remember how the media has flat out lied to us year after year, and my gut, perhaps irrationally, just refuses to believe trump wont win. Not with leftist terrorists burning down our cities. I have to believe we are better than that. I hope next week we shock the world once again. MAGA.
My family checks this site throughout the day to talk about what's going on. I get bummed when I refresh a bunch and I've read almost everything.
