FWIW, when I was younger I was active in several campaigns, all Rs through the long period of emerging dominance and rapid decline of the party in my state. Believe me, I've been in my share of losing, dead-end campaigns and all the indicators are there on the D side this year. Watching the Biden campaign (and I can barely even call it that) operate and the Pedo and the Whore speaking, it sure feels like a dead effort. Even their speeches to fake audiences feel like every dead campaign event I've been to in the final stretches before inevitable defeat. Just going through the motions.
Thanks. But I wasn't a professional, just a campaign shlub - all of the horrible work I'm glad younger more energetic people continue to do for beer and pizza today: phone banks, door to door canvassing, door to door gotv stuff, placing signs, running fundraisers, manning booths, etc.
