We knew Trump would win then the same way we know now. Overwhelming enthusiasm seen by attendance at Trump rallies vs crickets at Hillary/Biden rallies. Suppression polls were lying then as they are now.
Back then I didn't know about T_D, and as to the rallies, I didn't watch them and discounted them because I remembered the rallies that Palin had in 2008 and Romney/Ryan in 2012 and how nothing came of them. My mistake!
