I really need more context to who is in the car, where the car came from, etc. It looks like there is a line of police on both sides of the car, so maybe the drive was parked there and was trying to leave? I hear what seems to be a female driver saying the she needs to go home. Then she drives towards the line at like 5mph, stops, they break the windows and she drives off.
Most importantly the driver did not "smash" into a line of officers. The tweet made this sound like it was an attack. Lets not over-sensationalize this. There are much worse videos than this we should be sharing.
When a cop is surrounding your car like this you do not drive. Your life is not worth the car and insurance will cover it. Just walk to where some one can pick you up,
The problem is, the person in the car might not know they are cops. Cops trying to randomly break the car window? The driver could be lost and wound up in a scene of chaos and the next thing the driver knows is someone is trying to break windows.
Fight or flight is a natural human instinct, and I'm hopeful the cops are trained on it?
