With all the Hunter laptop leaks, I'm just wondering if Joe's dementia gets worse and he suddenly can't remember or effectively testify about any of his wrongdoing, would that would work in his favor.?

Would sentencing be any less severe due to sympathy for the old man who can't even remember his crimes? I hope not, but I just don't know enough about these things.
