My GF truly believes that Republicans are the authoritarian choice this election. Her cited example was confirming ACB. Beyond that not anything concrete. Could you all help me compile a list or direct me to examples of Democrats authoritarianism. Me just giving examples isn't enough. I used attacks on constitution, "hate speech", taxes, but I feel coming from me she just doesn't believe it. Thank you. She grew up in Germany (army brat) which can give you some insight as to why she may feel that way.

That’s the attitude that got us here. The best claim black Americans have against republicans and conservatives is abandoning them to the democrats. Everything else is easily placed at democrats or cultures feet. It always surprises me when people confuse conservatism with the religious right or republicans. They mean and stand for very different things
So you want to be just like a Democrat and think "people of color" need someone to look after them?

It's not abandoning people when they don't ask for or want our help. If someone cannot accept logic, facts, evidence and reason there's not a damn thing I can do for them. At that point, when their ideology says I'm the enemy, I believe them. They can all rot in Hell for all I care.
You tell me if the school system teaches any of that. You tell me where they are suppose to learn alternative thoughts. Left thought patterns are innate. Its why They don’t have to teach much, just repeat shit. Conservative ideology is based on over 3000 years of trial and error, the Judaism Christian ideals that are not innate. You tell me. Wtf do Christians travel the world for? Because good ideas aren’t thought up over 300 years. But you’ll say that same old tired line.
Anyone depending on the school systems to teach them anything as opposed to using the school system as a tool to learn stuff is already lost. Each person is their own responsibility. The problem these days is that there are no consequences. When people start to suffer the ill effects of their actions a lot of the issues go away.
In short, it's not education that's the problem, it's accountability. The best way to help anyone is to hold them accountable. Which means kicking stupid commies to the curb when they clearly won't listen to facts and evidence like the moron the OP was talking about.
