My GF truly believes that Republicans are the authoritarian choice this election. Her cited example was confirming ACB. Beyond that not anything concrete. Could you all help me compile a list or direct me to examples of Democrats authoritarianism. Me just giving examples isn't enough. I used attacks on constitution, "hate speech", taxes, but I feel coming from me she just doesn't believe it. Thank you. She grew up in Germany (army brat) which can give you some insight as to why she may feel that way.

Authoritarianism is high taxation.
In order to control people's lives, the State needs to control the economy. With regulations and taxation.
The higher the taxes, the less freedom of choice remains to the individual citizen.
Therefore when you don't know which party is the authoritarian one, simply ask: who wants to raise taxes?
This is very well explained in the book The Road To Serfdom. Massive redpill. It's a difficult read, but if you put in the effort this book is worth its weight in gold.
