My GF truly believes that Republicans are the authoritarian choice this election. Her cited example was confirming ACB. Beyond that not anything concrete. Could you all help me compile a list or direct me to examples of Democrats authoritarianism. Me just giving examples isn't enough. I used attacks on constitution, "hate speech", taxes, but I feel coming from me she just doesn't believe it. Thank you. She grew up in Germany (army brat) which can give you some insight as to why she may feel that way.

Anyone depending on the school systems to teach them anything as opposed to using the school system as a tool to learn stuff is already lost. Each person is their own responsibility. The problem these days is that there are no consequences. When people start to suffer the ill effects of their actions a lot of the issues go away.
In short, it's not education that's the problem, it's accountability. The best way to help anyone is to hold them accountable. Which means kicking stupid commies to the curb when they clearly won't listen to facts and evidence like the moron the OP was talking about.
