Kennedy is supposed a liberal/independent but she's tolerable.

Yeah, she'll probably apologize. There's no way they want to lose access to Rudy, if anything else.

Kennedy is a libertarian and always has been. I like her but she has that elitist attitude some libertarians get when they wiff their own farts to much because they somehow believe they are above bipartisanship.

She is too fuckin stupid to realize that being a Libertarian is about policy, not treating both parties as if they are both equally evil.

Unfortunately almost every Libertarian with a big name and a big head is like that.

Twenty years ago I thought of Libertarians as Republicans who wanted weed legalization. They were strong on Castle Doctrine, 2A, personal liberties, small government.

Libertarians now seen to be largely disaffected liberals who can't stand what the Democratic party has become.

You didn't think it...that was exactly the case. Anyone who does not know this look up Neal Boortz. The self described "Libertarians" now are the typical flavor of communists who come in and change the definition of established terms to further their cult beliefs.

The left has social justice warriors. The right has Libertarians.

Same shit, different spectrum.

Libertarians have come from both left and right leaning backgrounds, so they still have some sympathies to their prior positions. There are also "hard-line" libertarians who view any increase in government as intolerable.

The libertarians which have sympathies with conservatives tend to be okay with Trump. The rest are vocal anti-Trump, usually whipped up by the hard-liners who can't accept some of Trump's policies.

If you're going by r/Libertarian, that place was taken over by disaffected Dems (Yang gang, Tulsi, etc). Real libertarians abandoned it.

Thank you. Libertarian. Yes, I was mistaken.

We're mostly mum on the the L*bertarians here these days because at least they're finally getting in line behind Trump but my gosh they've been such an insane problem since they're, in practice, liberals who want conservative benefits without conservative sacrifices.

Problem is libertarians are all over the map and it was seen as edgy to be one. Then you have purists libertarians who try to out libertarian other libertarians. Now federal constitutional libertarians are cool and have a lot in common with conservatives minus drugs and military spending.

The oxymoron that is liberal-libertarians really makes no sense. They are soy boy drinking progressives with social issues and even worse hygiene.

Libertarians are the social justice warriors of the right.

In my experience the vast majority of vocal gung-ho Libertarians are millennial aged, not particularly successful at life, cultish and have bought into "blaming the system" for their personal failings. It also gives them a place to feel like they belong.

Whereas a leftist SJW claims their personal failings are due to racism or ism ism, a Libertarian claims it's because of gummint incompetence and taxes.

And somehow abolishing these things will magically fix their life problems.

They are also intellectually superior for figuring out the solution that the "normies" can't see.. notice how it works?

I have no use for these shitstains. I have about the same contempt for them I do for SJWs. Two sides of the same coin.

Wow, those last 2 lines hit very hard with truth! I'll be using that description in the future.

Some? All. How many of those idiots are still voting third party this year? However many that number is, that's the reason that party will never be taken seriously.

funny how many people call themselves a libertarian until it's time to do libertarian shit.

Trump is the most libertarian president we've had in decades, maybe since Coolidge.

all the libertarians that care about policy and aren't just elitists are already on the Trump Train
