I’ve talked to a lot of people who’ve graduated college, even prestigious ones like Stanford and MIT...You would not believe the amount of people who didn’t know what socialism and communism actually entailed. It’s so so stupid.

I was having a discussion with socialist regarding their view that all rich people need to pay more and being rich is terrible. That the rich don’t do as much etc.

None of them, who said they cared about the poor, did anything to help them. One gave money to homeless sometimes and said they “feel a lot” for them.

None walked away from it thinking they should or could do more. None wanted to pay more taxes and if they were rich they wouldn’t give anything else. None decided to join a commune or working co op.

The internet socialist wants other people to do something so they feel better, also free money.

I'm I've been around plenty of leftists, their world view definitely does not include a belief that everyone needs to contribute to society, I'm not sure what point you are making. Honestly I don't think we can expect everyone to contribute either, obviously some people are mentally ill, etc, but these people should be housed in the cheapest areas possible far away from any cities.
