Honest question: Why do black people scream like they're getting burned alive every time someone does a card trick or makes a basket or when you're watching a movie?
For a portion of the community its cultural. Other racial groups do it too. Its part of being in the group. Everyone engages and it brings people together. You'd be surprised how common it is in multi-racial groups like the military.
I should clarify and say "black Americans". You don't see black Africans acting this way. In fact, 1st generation black immigrants are typically very reserved.

Movies, sweet Jesus. I moved to Idaho a few years back and I can actually go to the theater again.
I don't understand loudly stating the obvious in a crowd of people who understand what's happening already.
"Oh damn, she got stabbed, bitch!!!"
"Ooooohh, he's not gonna take that!!!"
"This bitch is dead!"
Yeah, we all have eyes, did you come with a blind person?
Oh it's definitely understandable. There's one other demographic that does that too.
Children.
