Really! There are real gripes to have with our police force, this isn't one of them. I'm all for increased pay, better training, More non lethal equipment, and higher quality in general with our cops. But none of that is going to help when a guy runs at you with a weapon. No one in the right mind wouldn't reach for a taser and not a gun when confronted with a charging man with a knife.
Nobody is going to go; "fuck one of the barbs didn't pernitrate his jacket and now in going to be stabled to death. We'll at least I die knowing I wasn't racist".
