I absolutely LOVE the “he had mental illness” angle of these assholes after he’s dead. As if:
HIS mental illness supersedes the health and safety of every innocent person around him at the time.
HIS mental illness supersedes the safety and lives of the officers forced to deal with his bullshit and make a life or death decision in seconds.
HIS mental illness gives him a “get out of jail free” card to commit acts of violence or degeneracy.
Every soldier that kills is not angry when they do it. Other motivations exist. We need to come to terms with this in our own way. We may need that ability and soon. 61% of our population think Civil War is unavoidable in the next two weeks.

There are literally millions of people around the world grappling with mental illness who don't hurt anyone, or commit crime.
Criminality is an entirely different thing and I'm so sick of them using mental illness as a get-out-of-jail card.
