All 5 of the extreme liberals in my family are on multiple medications for depression, anxiety, sleep. All 5 see psychiatrists. There has been absolutely no change in their behavior, in fact, they are getting worse. It’s quite a spectacle to observe. It has definitely made my WTF wrinkle deepen!
Someone should do a study on ssri type medication prevelance in Liberals. Like what is the percentage of them on it compared to conservatives. Then attempt to figure out what the corralation is.
They tried to push anti depressants on me SO HARD at my doctors office that I had just started going to that day. They didnt know what was wrong with me so they tried 3 different angles to try to force that shit on me.. turns out I was sick from the fucking typical daily birth control they give out to everyone. Shit was making my hair fall out and killing me. Stopped taking it and I'm doing fine and back to running 10 miles at a time on the weekend.
After my youngest son was born I went to my six week follow-up visit and saw a different doc than usual. I told him honestly that I was really tired and felt kind of overwhelmed. Now this was my fourth child, so I also had 3 older kids to care for, and as all parents know, newborns and sleep don't mix.
To my surprise, he tried to push me to take an antidepressant. I gave that a hard pass - I told him that I'd been through this before, and I would be fine as soon as baby started sleeping through the night. I also said I did NOT want to get hooked on those things.
I won't see that particular doc again, ever. Makes me wonder how many other new moms he has gotten hooked on that crap.
True, but is it something in the liberal mentality that makes them more likely to take the pills that these doctors throw at them and their kids? Or do years of taking these things effect their mentality, by decreasing testosterone(wild guess/example), or both? I wonder.
Also not making light of depression as it is a real thing.
Anyway this story is a horrible tragedy, what a subhuman.
Each one of those daily life time subscriptions to mind altering drugs make BIG money for the pharmaceutical industry. It's almost like they would push 5 different drugs on everybody for the rest of their life whether they need it or not and then complain that the government needs to fund this poisoning of american minds.

There are a lot of these people in psychology. They begin psychotherapy classes, attempting to self diagnose and then after spending all their money on these classes, decide they are qualified to make a career out of it.
They are used in court cases to 'justify' insanity. If you remember the Jodi Arias case, Alice Laviolette was the "domestic violence expert" to justify the brutal killing of Jodi's boyfriend. As if it was ok to stab her boyfriend dozens of times in an obviously planned murder.

They try to spin it like she killed them because her custody of the children was challenged. I think being prepared to shoot your kids in the head is pretty good grounds to lose custody.
Psychiatry has always been a sham. The DSM, what psychiatrists use to label people, is NOT a scientific document. The DSM is a cultural document meant to control people. It has been, is, and will be used to manipulate people. It was used extensively in the USSR to label dissidents. It is being used today in the USA for that very same purpose. It will only get worse if we keep going down the road we are on.
Also important to note - psychiatrist is different from psychologist. Psychiatrists prescribe meds and deal with more of the medical aspect of mental health, psychologists are more on the behavioral side (drastically simplified comparison there). A good psychologist can help you get through shit without getting you on meds. I've been talking to one since a series of unfortunate events in March happened to me. They really are helpful, like all things, you have to be careful and find one that works for you.
