Polls there were run by incompetent hacks got it wrong and polls by people who got it correctly are now by being defamed as "bad". It's not "all polls are bad", it's "bad polls are bad". Cancel culture where pollee might not answer the poller truthfully out of fear or wish to troll them doesn't help but there are ways to mitigate them.
