I was reading a thread awhile back about how the CCP and Iran had dirt on hundreds, if not thousands of the world's top politicians and they were using it to blackmail them.
This is something I completely don't get about English politics - how the fuck everything is shifted so much to the left? Last elections were basically a choice between actual marxist commies and "US level" blue state democrats. And the latter are called "conservatists" and "right wing"? WTF?
Oh that's simple, the NHS...even through it's fucking garbage nobody will vote for anyone even remotely right because they might dismantle it or reform it.
The fear of "losing" the NHS gets people to vote for any motherfucker as long as they say "We won't dismantle the NHS."
Even tho we pay taxes out the fucking ass for it, and the service is shit. We'd be better with cheaper medicine and no NHS imo.
Most people don't get to save any fucking money at all over here, in fact the government welfare state actively rewards sitting on your ass and not going over the tax bracket. Bunch of assholes doing medical tourism, or coming to live off the government.
