They may say that only because they know there's no way BLM will enter their neighborhoods and the police wouldn't allow it. I live in one of those neighborhoods and there's a constant sense of peace and security around here and they all know it. Aside from that, there are security cameras on nearly every apartment/condo building and many individual homes, along with police regularly parking here for long periods during "quiet" hours of their workday (cause nothing much happens in this district). They wouldn't get away with anything and if they tried, I guarantee these people would call their expensive attorneys as soon as it did.
