Sorry to say it, but IMO this is the biggest error Trump made in his first term, even moreso than not firing Comey on day one. I remember all kinds of stories in his transition and early administration about people from Trump Country, the heartland, applying for leadership positions within his admin and getting round filed.

I wouldn't be so quick to pin the FBI's apparent hiding of the Biden laptop on Barr. It's possible that knowledge of its existence never made it up the chain of command, and thus Barr was never briefed on it. However, if he did play any role in any coverup, he should be fired.
