Almost 400 comments.

I can see about 100.

Are we working here?

We have 6 days till go time.

Are we ready?

Minimizing visible comments helps with server load

BUT

if you see a comment on Election Night and want to go back to it, better reply to it and/or save it, because you'll never see it again.

Wow, that's a pretty rough compromise, but what do I know about all of this?

It seemed like a quick fix to balance the site, like other posters have said, to just cut down on 'traffic.'

Maybe just prioritize these heavy usage threads only for a short time, such as rallies.

I'm sure it's all easier said than done, adding in the ddos attacks.

I know the mods do their best keeping us afloat, so they deserve utmost credit.

Yes, I think it's the high volume fast moving threads that are prioritized. Which makes sense, especially on Election Day/Night.

It's just that the comments are not restored afterwards, at least not when I've checked. But maybe there's a different plan for the next week or so. It's a big job.

It's gonna be a super bummer if the site goes down on the big day so whatever they need to do is fine by me!

That happens every time. I think it's to help balance the site, but I'm not a fan.

I believe comments on live threads are limited to 100 visible for server performance issues.

Just vote, take a friend or 2 to vote. Watch for voter and election fraud, if you see something, say something. The President cannot do it for you, ok?
