Language and translation is important. Thou shalt not MURDER is the more accurate translation from the original language. Therefore, a policeman or soldier is not sinning when performing their duties require them to kill. But if they lose control and murder instead, they are guilty.

Next,

15 Thou shalt not steal.

17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.

So there are actually TWO commandments covering looting.

But it does. Thou shalt not steal is one of the Ten Commandments.

What an idiot! Jesus was crucified between two thieves. History came to call one of the thieves the "good thief" (he was repentant) and the other the "bad thief" (he was unrepentant). Doesn't matter. The point is they were crucified for being thieves!

Since God made them such a prominent part of the crucifixion, I guess he wanted to make a point. But Marianne, like all libtards, believes she is a better thinker than God. Marianne may believe that owning private property is bad. But including the two thieves for all of history to contemplate, God made the point that you are responsible for your own provisions and stealing from others is grave.

God makes provision for the truly destitute through acts of love; his own acts ("Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? For after all these things do the Gentiles seek: for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things); or acts of voluntary charity from man to man. I do not oppose a social safety net.

Hey, Marianne! Greed is bad, m'kay? But, then, that would undermine the entire liberal/democratic political foundation. Biden raising taxes on day one? Of course. Of course. Of course. Greed for other people's property.

If only the cops had told the guy running at them with a knife that the bible says "though shall not kill" this whole mess could have been avoided

I think a statement like this would have been impossible for a public figure even 50 years ago. The stupid is more public and pervasive these days. Ignorance of the Christian bedrock of civil society is also in sharp decline.

She says of course "thou shall not steal" is in the Bible but then says something about priorities.

Lady, God does not "prioritize" sin. All sin is sin. We prioritize sin, God does not.
