I'm getting kind of annoyed. I get that politically it's by design that things can't move too fast to prevent huge abuses of power, but it honestly feels like these people can just say "we did another oopsie, we swear it's an accident though" over and over again.
Did anyone ask them if they consider themselves a publisher or a platform? Can they create a legal distinction between the two? Is it not possible to set restrictions on platforms saying they cannot censor or interfere with any legal communications on their service?
I don't know pedes, it just seems like nothing changes with big tech.
The whole meeting was about 230 and of course the democrats think 230 needs to be left alone and want more censorship. The do nothing republicans who are also paid off by big tech put on the appearance they are annoyed but as usual nothing happens.
