“Everything that comes in after 5pm on November 3 will be separated and when the court has reviewed it again (with Barrett): they can throw it in a bin.”

That’s 8pm on Nov 3.

And how can we trust dems to follow these rules and not stuff ballots in the boxes ?

Well - the vote count can't go up days after the election this way at least. But it may just mean the dems have to get their fake ballots created by November 3rd.

Because the idea was to send in votes in the mail till the very last minute so they can create the 'red-mirage'. The mail can only process so much mail, so they needed all those extra days to process the mail as it comes. They can stuff mailboxes, but if those votes don't get in by the deadline regardless when postmarked, they go in the 'other' bin.

Looking at the decision, it really is bad.

There were not 5 votes for an expedited cert. grant. That's Roberts fucking us one more time.

The vote segregation thing was NOT ordered, and it was specifically rejected by the PA state supreme court. The vote segregation thing is voluntary on the part of the Secretary of the Commonwealth. They could still decide not to do it.

The PA Republican Party needed to have waited ONE MORE FUCKING DAY before filing their motion, then Barrett could have participated.

I'm angry about this. This could still be the key to their stealing the election.

It's not very good. It will allow the cheaters to "count" their fake votes then claim vote suppression if they're not counted. The pressure to include them in the count will be huge. I wonder why ACB did not take part.

The court will decide. Not PA.

Yeah, I'm sure the Dem poll workers won't mix them up.

I understand...I think Roberts was fine until he was compromised. What of it happens to another, like Gorsuch?

month & a half before Nov 3.

It feels like that was months ago. I swear 2020 is the equivalent of 5 normal years.

Barrett did not take part in this. This is Roberts' last FU to us.

They will review again later and ACB will participate in that ruling. Roberts days of fucking us over are done.

He should step down and let Trump have a fourth pick (Ted Cruz).

Read the thing:

The motion to expedite consideration of the petition for a writ of certiorari is denied. JUSTICE BARRETT took no part in the consideration or decision of this motion.

So I'm guessing it takes 5 votes to expedite a grant of cert. Roberts did not provide a fifth vote, thus delaying the case!

And since this is a denial to expedite cert. grant, there's nothing binding in this order. The thing about segregating votes received after the 3rd? NOT ordered:

... Although the Court denies the motion to expedite, the petition for certiorari remains before us, and if it is granted, the case can then be decided under a shortened schedule. In addition, the Court’s denial of the motion to expedite is not a denial of a request for this Court to order that ballots received after election day be segregated so that if the State Supreme Court’s decision is ultimately overturned, a targeted remedy will be available. Petitioner represents that it will apply to this Court to ob-tain that modest relief,

!!!

The vote segregation thing is a voluntary of PA's:

Although the Pennsylvania Supreme Court rejected Pe-titioner’s request for that relief, we have been informed by the Pennsylvania Attorney General that the Secretary of the Commonwealth issued guidance today directing county boards of elections to segregate ballots received between 8:00 p.m. on November 3, 2020, and 5:00 p.m. on November 6, 2020. Nothing in the Court’s order today precludes Peti-tioner from applying to this Court for relief if, for some rea-son, it is not satisfied with the Secretary’s guidance.

This is really Roberts giving us one last fuck you.

You know it!

I think he's hoping he's bought the PA dems just enough time. I don't think he has.

NvJohansson 7 points ago +7 / -0

So theyll count them if dems are behind?

4
GreatFunana 4 points ago +4 / -0

Its basically left up to the Scotus at this point. ACB is sharp as a sharpened razor, I don't see her saying: yeah, these are legit.

OP: This is NOT a good decision. This is Roberts' last fuck you to us. Read it carefully.

A great outcome would have been that certiorari was granted today on an expedited basis, and that could have come with an order to segregate the votes.

The denial of cert. does not change anything at all. It doesn't even make things uncertain for the dems because the dems already knew that Barrett would change things anyways. All this is is Roberts' last fuck you. Stop looking for a silver outline because there isn't one other than the obvious, which is that the court does eventually get to hear the case, but that eventually is almost certainly now going to be after the election. For the dems that's great news in the context of the awful (to them) news of ACB's elevation.
