Essentially before taking off, look for current notices in areas you'll be flying through. It's like going fishing without checking the weather report. If you don't do it, you're risking problems.
Non-Pilot, but decent googler;
NOTAM: Notice to Airmen -- is a notice filed with an aviation authority to alert aircraft pilots of potential hazards along a flight route or at a location that could affect the safety of the flight.
TFR: Temporary Flight Restriction -- USSS / FAA establish a TFR Area when AirForceOne takes off or lands, esentially if you enter a TFR, You'll be answering to F-16s/F-35s/ BAMFs
Two interceptors. One follows you and is ready to shoot you down. One goes next to you and tries to get you to answer/follow/dip your wings if your radio is out. If you don’t respond, they launch flares in your face, which is impossible to miss. If you don’t respond (or try to somehow evade, etc) you get shot down by the guy in back.
Any company that takes that stuff serious isn't for me....well, except that one company....you know, the one with the hats. For that much money I'll throw some molotovs at the courthouse of they want me to.
Non-pilot here, please explain as if to a young child or an intelligent dog.
TFR - temporary flight restriction set up for the president. Big no-no zone to fly in.
It's dimensions are set by NOTAMS, notices to airmen. Pilots are required to check these before they go fly.
Violating a TFR can get your pilots license suspended, can get you arrested, or in extreme cases, shot down.
We have the best airmen, don't we folks?
I prefer Naval Aviator. But airman works, thank you!
But Obama gets the most seamen.
Pilots4Trump
Way better than our seamen!
Airpeople
IT’S AIRMA’AM!!!
The argument is annoying because the word "woman" still has man in it, and women, men. It's just short form for both, it fits for both.
Airma'am
AirMEN? REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
What about the AIRGAYS?
True. I just didn't specify
I knew of someone who never even did a runup, and one time, landed in the water near the airport because of it.

GA uses it for much more than approach plates; TFRs as a prime example!

Is that what we're seeing in the sky on the video? Flares being dropped? Looks like a very stranger pattern, not like a normal flyover -
Dude in the Cub is gonna get a real shock then....
BAMFs? Now I know why Trump references F35 roaring around during some of his rallies.
More Goosebumps!
Foreflight is a godsend. It's like cheating.
In my day we had a giant chart spread out blocking our view out front, a pencil, slide rule contraption, and a knee board!
We in the navy still use charts. To block the sun especially on a westbound flight. :)
I still have my original E6B.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E6B
I'm an instructor so I still have it and use it every day.
I just gave mine to my son who just started civilian flight training. He looked at it and scratched his head. KEK
Thank you! I couldn’t remember what it was called.
ok boomer
Good. My old squadron fought it tooth and nail until I flew with it with my CO. Blew his mind.
Add the synthetic vision.... That will boggle your mind, especially down low.
Not airline, I'm military. But I bet we have a few.
Fuck yeah. And thank you.
Every military plane I see I will be waving to.
Two fam members were in the USAAF! I wave to them in heaven! Waving to y'all is step in right direction!
I'm a low and slow helicopter pilot. We see you guys waving. I wave back.
Respeck
Due to doxxing most professional pilots probably won't put that information out there.
Saying that, I fly for the airlines and Im sure there are a number of others on here as well, even if they wont admit it.
Im not scared of the SJWs on the hiring board.
Any company that takes that stuff serious isn't for me....well, except that one company....you know, the one with the hats. For that much money I'll throw some molotovs at the courthouse of they want me to.
I'm scared shitless of heights, even looking out of a plane window makes me sick, don't know how you guys can do it. It fascinates me though.
Airline pilot checking in!
Lol! Building a 6A and an 8!
Block out with your cock out! Fellow USA Today thief here.
😂
Never hesitate to penetrate, dude!
Bet that pilot shit himself after the flares.
even his shit was shitting itself
Let's say the plane decided to nosedive right for Trump. Would the fighters be able to make the situation safe in time?
Well, theyd be able to make the situation safe for POTUS and the crowd.....
The situation for that pilot and airplane....well, that situation would not be very safe.
plane gets blown to bits
the libs: "wtf why didn't you shoot the pilot in the legs?"
How far away from VSGGEOTUS would the good guys start blasting?
Missiles go fast and far. I think the key thing would be the time it took to recognize that that's what the plane was doing.
Absolute worst case, depending on the specific circumstances, one of the escorts does their impression of a Japanese pilot circa summer 1945.
This is, of course, pretty far from ideal. /CaptainObvious
For most GA planes, a close afterburner pass would be enough to make it tumble out of the sky. (“Caution, wake turbulence F35...”)
