Probably another one of those plane fulls of an elite white supremacist strike team who use their klan outfits to glide in like flying squirrels from the sky to rain terror and destruction on some poor minority encampment somewhere. Those guys are a darn menace. The FBI told me so.
Typically not around large airports like the ones AF1 is landing, but yes there are lots of small aircraft and gliders and whatnot flying around without radio.
Last weekend, 6 planes in the pattern, a C150, two Diamonds from the local puppy mill doing Initials while confusing the calls, and a Nordo Cub. After 1 lap I decided to nope it the hell out of there.
It will be interesting to see who was flying this and why they were doing that...

Yes. Most folks will still pack a handheld though if the plane isn't equipped with a radio.
