I'm guessing there are a lot of concerned MAGA moms lurking here tonight? I've been trying to get people's attention about Tencent and the CCP's connections to Sony and the upcoming PS5, as well as a possible way of fighting back. I made an online petition to get the attention of GEOTUS and CFIUS but it hasn't gained any traction. Only two other signatories thus far.

https:// w w w.c h a n g e.o r g/p/donald-j-trump-force-tencent-to-divest-from-sony-reddit-and-other-tech-and-media-companies

IMPORTANT: Link is intentionally broken to prevent referrers telling change.org that signatoires are coming from a wrongthink site. Copy & paste the link into the URL bar of your browser and remove the spaces from the TLD. Don't repair this link when posting elsewhere unless the site isn't labelled by lefties and such as a hatesite. That includes certain subreddits due to the URLs. Clearing your browser cache or opening this URL in a different browser from what you normally use might also be a good idea to lower the risk of cache reading via javascript.

There's lot's of information in the petition page and the whole thing can't be fit on a single post here. All of it is sourced. Some key highlights worthy of note:

  • Two of Tencent's most heavily invested gaming companies, Riot Games and Epic Games, have each been caught harvesting massive amounts of user data, each by a similar method to one another.
  • Tencent has dozens of massive overseas datacenters, including some in the U.S.
  • Sony has been assisting China for years to try and help them become a major gaming influence through an initiative known as the "China Hero Project".
  • Sony's other pozzed divisions bleeding into the PlayStation division is largely due in part to a "One Sony" policy.
  • Tencent is involved with Sony's music label through a joint partnership, "Liquid State", and because of "One Sony", has a vector through which they can affect the other branches.
  • Sony admitted in their latest annual corporate report that they harvest and analyze lots of Playstation user data, which Tencent could potentially have access to.
  • Reddit took an investment from Tencent in early 2019, and the censorship has only gotten much worse ever since. (Most of you should already know this, but it's still important.)
  • CFIUS has both the authority and most likely the legal grounds to force Tencent to sell off its investments in tech and media companies. That includes no just American companies but also any foreign companies that do business in the U.S., such as Sony.
  • The executive order against Huawei's equipment can also be applied to the PS5, given the information explained in the petition. (But this is going to need a rush to pull this off at this point.)

When I made this petition the site told me that it needed five additional signatures for this petition to be visible to those who don't have the link, but it might need more given this info is a prime candidate for censorship. Again, thus far this petition only has two other signatures but time is running short. Once this has enough signatures for it to be publicly visible on the site without needing the exact URL I won't have to tiptoe around all this and can start spreading this in other places.

While the topic is very true, this is not a fight for the next 5 days to E-Day. And using CHYNA dem org for such a petititon is a very bad idea.

Eyes on the Prize. Dont take your eyes off the ball.

There are some other issues in the 5 day window, like Friday the Supreme Court hears arguments about the US Census Executive Memo for House Apportionment.

Focus on Election Day, GEOTUS, SENATE, HOUSE, Governors, Mayors, School Boards, etc. Clean the Commies out!

I'm smarter than the average bear when it comes to tech and I'm keeping myself safe, so I'm not too worried about getting disappeared for anything like this. The main thing is getting this information seen by Trump and Republican lawmakers.

And yeah, you're right about change.org being a leftist shitshack but it's slim pickings when it comes down to attention getters in the age of techno-fascism. I'm not giving commie Jack my phone number just to use twitter, that's for sure. Though if you have any better ideas platform-wise I'm all ears.

Well lots of ideas, but most will have to wait until after election day, since most of the bandwidth is taken up with that.

First and foremost is to bark up the right tree which is:

https://home.treasury.gov/policy-issues/international/the-committee-on-foreign-investment-in-the-united-states-cfius

It has the info posted in case you're not 100% familiar with it, or since you seem to have enough info, on that page above, also has contact page link:

https://home.treasury.gov/policy-issues/international/the-committee-on-foreign-investment-in-the-united-states-cfius/cfius-contact-information

To report a tip about a potential foreign investment that may implicate national security, or to report a possible breach of a CFIUS mitigation agreement*

  • Providing information to [email protected] does not guarantee a further response, and CFIUS assumes no obligation to take action on the basis of the information provided."

[email protected]

(202) 622-1860

... I would do the above first, and deal with congress critters later if the above goes nowhere. Keep in mind, the CFIUS can give you no response and keep working on it, you'll be in the dark; or they can swamp bury the issue and you'll be in the dark. So giving them a bit of time either way to do the right thing.

And if the above goes nowhere or if you want to drive harder forward; the very least, ask the staffers whom answer the phones of your congress critters, if they're aware of the issue; and if not get contact info of which staffer handles this topic and (you can "educate" them with your full info usually via email.) Same goes for the chairs and committee members like you saw the other day in big tech vs congress. If you're contacting a member who is NOT your representive, make it clear that it's because that person sits/chairs/co-chairs on the FILL IN THE BLANK committee, and find which staffer does this (ideally if your own congress critters were helpful, they would handle this part of sending your info to the committee members even if they themselves don't sit on it.)

Instead of going after "moms", if you want action, especially via the Executive Branch rather than say Congress or Company(eg Sony) taking action; probably should make the National Security aka CFIUS issues are the #1 issue. Make sure you make it clear that that the power of gaming consoles is well past that of phones and other devices, and the software too. Far worse/powerful than Tic-Tok, etc.

Gaming consules are usually on the restricted export list because of their powerfulness; so this too is a great way to get deals severed between say Sony and Commie China.
