It's a consolidation. Fewer places will be open, but voting still happening. We need to make a PSA for all pedes in this state to offer rides and inform voters of new voting locations!

Yes, because funneling more people into fewer polling places is a totally valid response to a pandemic.

If my eyes could roll any farther they would.

I think I need to see an optometrist after the eyeroll I just pulled

Keep rolling and they'll come back around eventually.

It's voter suppression, since in-person voters lean heavily to Trump.

Way to go pedes, for anything you do to make it easier for MAGA voters to vote!

SPEZ: On further reflection, that the Dems may have accidentally shot themselves in the foot with the China Flu scare again.

It was the Scamdemic that made elections offices unable to find enough poll workers and enough venues willing to host a polling place. And it seems that most of the consolidation occurred in urban areas that usually vote strongly Dem. Add in the enthusiasm gap and the Branch Covidian fear gap (Dems are much more afraid of the WuFlu than Reps).

So, I still think it's a form of voter suppression, but the Reps might be the only ones willing to brave the long lines to vote.

This is the right answer.

They aren't pulling any shit. They are lamenting that the shit they pulled, backfired. Isolated _Patriot is 100% misguided. Clearly he didn't hear the story. I listened to it on my way to work this morning with a huge shit eating grin.

That'll only confuse the low information voter. Informed, high-energy conservatives will look that shit up online and walk through broken glass to vote.

Headline is kind of useless without the article.

Since it's NPR the article will probably be useless too though.

Yup, they are already lazy. Early voting, mail in voting, automatic voter registration all designed to make it easier for lazy Democrats to vote.

Republicans are fired up and determined, they won't let a minor obstacle like a slightly longer ride stop them from voting.

Let's hope it rains in all the battle ground states on election day

Well then they can scream that from the rooftops for 4 more years with Donald J. Trump as their president.

I remember 1980. It was pouring rain on Election Day in Brooklyn

My Yiddish-speaking grandmother was going out to vote (in the back room of Joe & Jerry's barbershop, as it happened), and she let out a bilingual English/Yiddish pun: "Heint es reg'nt, yehi rotzon zol zayn fir yor'n Reagan"

(Today it's raining, may it be Divine Will that there be four years of rain/Reagan)

Havent voted yet and I live in a swing state. Tried to vote early but the line was over 2 hours long. One early voting place for the entire CITY.

No worries, ill be there, on election day, even if i have to call out of work and wait for hours.

My boss already gave us all the day off so I’m free to wait all damn day if I have to. The other 5 Trump supporters at work are willing as well.

The lone democrat there with TDS has already given up because Joe is shit lol

We have the right to bear arms, the right to practice religion, and the right to assemble too, but that doesn't stop the government from limiting our ability to exercise those rights.

It's a fucking cold. They know Republicans vote in person, that's why they're doing this.

Drdonaldjtrump1776 4 points ago +4 / -0

They did this in PA a fee months ago when i went to vote for a different election. They didn't put out good notice, i show up after work at my local poll place to see it's closed. Luckily i figured out the mew place before they close.d straight up bullshit

That's why voted early in person. I figured some fuckery was going to happen. Not to say that some fuckery won't happen with my vote.

Of course. Why do you think they're claiming a giant COVID spike a week before the election?

0
booblitchutz 0 points ago +1 / -1

Who didn't see this coming though?

1
Roger-Q-Patriot 1 point ago +1 / -0

This fuckery was talked about at the start of the Scamdemic. Most polling places are schools, churches, libraries, and other public places that were closed down.

1
Posthumos1 1 point ago +1 / -0

FEC needs to step in here. Or SCOTUS. There have been several recent lawsuits successfully filed prohibiting this kind of covid overstep.

Michael032817 1 point ago +1 / -0

No fucking way. Post directly to trumps twitter I deleted mine but I feel I need it back now. Anyone that can should post it there.

1
Zude 1 point ago +1 / -0

If it’s to be trusted the article says it is happening in primarily urban areas and would mostly affect likely Democrat voters.
