Long time lurker, first time poster. Reddit is seriously in panic over Hunter and trying to defend "Hate Speech". In the news thread about the killings in France and the response from the PM of Malaysia I posted "How is twitter allowing this guy to call for the deaths of innocent people, yet they will ban you over even mentioning Hunter Biden being a pedophile, and the Biden family knowing about it." BOOM instant ban, not sure how what I said is hate speech. China must be having the mods working overtime. What a bunch of god damn losers over there.

I deleted my 8 year old Reddit account a few months back and I don't miss it at all. I stay off social media it's nothing but toxic.
Reddit is a shithole and suppresses any news they don’t like. That’s why so many of us left and never went back.
We all saw reddit change before our very eyes, the sharp and drastic turn toward chinese dick sucking, liberal globalist communist propaganda, and flat out censorship was startling. From the time I first got there, to a span of about 5 years, that site was almost unrecognizable. I blocked all political and news subs, but the Hydra-like brain poisoning was working its way into even the most innocuous subs, like random tv shows and various hobbies. Blatantly inflated "karma" scores on anti-conservative posts stuck out like sore thumbs, and any dissenting opinions quickly flooded away with downvotes and hate.
This is the our modern war, the war of information.
I was a daily user since about 2009. It's been mostly propaganda and bought out uovotes for at least 6 years. Went into overdrive the last 3 years. As of the shutdown nobody is allowed to speak against the groupthink.
/r/news went full /r/pyongyang a couple years ago.
I remember getting banned from that one for posting a very mildly conservative take on an issue.
As for reddit as a whole, it got drastically worse after their mass ban back in May or June. All of my accounts, even ones I've never posted on, were swept up in it as they told the media they banned hundreds of thousands of Russian bot accounts. I'm an American who used reddit for 12 years, attended meetups including the first global, and was one of those dorks back when they obsessed over bacon and narwhales. They know that, but it doesn't matter, I commit wrongthink, so I must go, and they'll tell the media I and hundreds of thousands of others are Russian bots.

This site could do with more free speech as well. A lot of people advocate for free speech but hit the "ban" or "deport" button as soon as they see an idea they don't like, and the mods enforce it. I understand that this is a Trump-focused forum, but I think the discussion could continue without the banning people or removing comments here as well, as that is reddit-tier and gay
