Long time lurker, first time poster. Reddit is seriously in panic over Hunter and trying to defend "Hate Speech". In the news thread about the killings in France and the response from the PM of Malaysia I posted "How is twitter allowing this guy to call for the deaths of innocent people, yet they will ban you over even mentioning Hunter Biden being a pedophile, and the Biden family knowing about it." BOOM instant ban, not sure how what I said is hate speech. China must be having the mods working overtime. What a bunch of god damn losers over there.

/r/news went full /r/pyongyang a couple years ago.
I remember getting banned from that one for posting a very mildly conservative take on an issue.
As for reddit as a whole, it got drastically worse after their mass ban back in May or June. All of my accounts, even ones I've never posted on, were swept up in it as they told the media they banned hundreds of thousands of Russian bot accounts. I'm an American who used reddit for 12 years, attended meetups including the first global, and was one of those dorks back when they obsessed over bacon and narwhales. They know that, but it doesn't matter, I commit wrongthink, so I must go, and they'll tell the media I and hundreds of thousands of others are Russian bots.
And here you are with the cool kids on the internet again. We'll probably be in the cool VR spaces before they get corrupted too.
