If you haven’t got a bidet already, shame on you.

But really people, tp is not what i would consider an essential item. Look up backcountry bidet by andrew skurka. Its even easier if you have running water.

It's weird, but some people are scared of them. I had one of the nicest Japanese ones and absolutely no one but me would use it. Everyone liked the heated seat though.

I always get crazy looks when I tell people how clean their butt holes could be if they just sprayed it off with a little, affordable toilet bolt on. Oh well. I guess I’ll continue to have to cleanest butt around.

I am imagining you standing in line at the grocery store giving unsolicited anal hygiene advice to fellow patrons.

That would be hilarious.

My parents have a bidet, and I like it. It doesn't supersede the need for TP, however. I still have to wipe. Maybe it's just that I have a hairier derrière.

I got a bidet for the first time right before the pandemic hit and I’m still working on the toilet paper package I bought in February. It easily pays for itself, and you’re cleaner to boot!

Yep. The amount of tp going in my septic has been cut in half at least

Our water restrictions make them unrealistic....

They sell some nicer bidet's for $200 ish on sale.

Heated seat, heated water, led night lights, blow dryers, remote control, the whole works. Or you can get a manual one for cheap, that just sprays straight from the pipe if you don't mind cold water.

I bought mine earlier this year and they aren't perfect and there is a bit of a learning curve to clean well. But for what its worth, I think they are great and well worth the cost if you can afford it. I use an extremely small amount of TP now, usually because I'm impatient to wait 2 minutes for the blow dryer to do its thing.
