6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
7 Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
Where was the ESV throughout every generation? Just look for the book our forefathers gave us. God didn't have his word buried in some cave waiting for some over-educated fool to come mess it up. Alexandrian manuscripts are satanic. Return to Antioch, return to the true and pure word of God. KJV ONLY!
Reading the scriptures of the New Testament in their original form Koine Greek provides the best opportunity for interpretation.
Understanding the original words helps prevent improper inferences from the connotations of modern English words. It limits the scope of meaning in many cases. The original syntax also helps you to logically interpret the authors meaning as well, and helps provide the tools to aptly deconstruct misinterpretations based upon improper inferences. In other words, you can look at modern translations of various texts and possibly figure out why they translated it that way or why it’s possibly incorrect or ambiguous but not necessarily incorrect.
Do you seriously believe that? God doesn't expect everyone to become some Greek scholar, that's why he preserved his word in ONE book in ONE language that is used all over the world - so that EVERYONE can understand it. God is not the author of confusion, the Bible is actually super easy to understand. Unless you make it hard for yourself learning a different language.
Indeed, in addition to what I said, it’s also extremely important for defending the scriptures. Sophists (for an example Jehovas witness love to argue the original Greek doesn’t support Jesus being God in John 1) twist the scriptures thus it is necessary for us to readily refute them. It is not necessary that all men learn Koine Greek yet it is necessary that those whom are called to do so to provide aid to the community, offering defense and explanation. It is a personal advantage to all people to read it in the original text if they are willing and able to do so.
