In the sticky thread I see people advocating for both "Yes" and "No". I think we need to come to a consensus or at least just talk about it. Even if it's just for my sake (I haven't voted).
"Yes" seems like the better choice to me but one thing I saw was RINOs getting on the committee.
IMO, it's a shit sandwich of a choice, but voting Yes is marginally better than voting No. And may be the better alternative given how much the Democrat Party is fighting against it, to the extent of putting up campaign signs that outright lie about it.
That's gonna be a "no" from me, dawg.
First, it's a constitutional amendment which shouldn't be undertaken lightly.
Second, it gives inordinate power to the two controlling parties, excluding everyone else from participation ion the process.
Third, the "citizen commissioners" are all to be directly appointed by the legislature, which is going to breed more cronyism than fairness. The last thing we need is more unelected bureaucrats deciding our fate.
Fourth, determining districts based on skin color and ethnic background is racist as fuck.
This is a tough one. I have no doubt the Dems will give me flyer telling me how to vote while I am in line, so I'll vote the opposite.
