My mom is a very reasonable person who recognizes some of the good things Trump has done, but she believes some of the fake news too. She voted for Trump in 2016 (only because she saw him as the lesser of two evils) and I think Bush as well, so she's not a Democrat. I'd says she's an independent. Also, she doesn't like Biden either.
She has specifically mentioned the Trump mocking a disabled reporter hoax and the Proud Boys being white supremacists lie. I already know how to red pill her on those points. I also plan on showing her the documentaries Uncle Tom and The Plot Against the President. I don't think she believes Trump is racist, but she has called him foolish, crazy and dangerous.
The main thing that's gonna be difficult is Covid. She's in favor of a nationwide mask mandate and that one's going to be hard to talk her out of because I don't have all the facts. I know I can bring up the survival rates, but is there any data that proves masks either don't help that much, don't help at all or actively hurt American citizens?
Keep in mind, I'm 100% sure I'll be able to red pill her because like I said previously, my mom is reasonable, but also because I'm a very quiet person and whenever I speak, my mom listens to me.
Oh another good one is #walkaway - the Youtube where Brandon (hope I got his name right) shows how the media manipulated the video to make it look like Trump was making fun of a handicapped person. I realize she got part of it but the point I'm making is where Brandon said the media controls us by directing our emotions. Show her they are doing the same thing now with covid. If they can scare us, they can control us through fear. We have to face it down. We're strong and we're better than that.
I think she agrees his first term was a success, aside from the coronavirus. She also thinks he's the cause of the division in this country, though not directly, and thinks Biden could bring back normalcy. She doesn't realize it's the media and radical left causing the chaos. She's never mentioned Antifa/BLM riots, but brought up white militias that I'm not sure even exist (except the Proud Boys, who aren't exclusively white and I don't think they're a militia).

The mask issue is an insane bunch of nonsense. I will outline the main issues - but the journals have been so politically corrupted its hard to find large scale epidemiological data on rates of infection with and without masks.
But here are the key points.
1 : The only kind of mask that stands any kind of chance of stopping you from getting infected by aerosols containing SARS-COV-2 are properly fitted n95 masks that have not been exposed to moisture ( which breaks down the electrostatic barrier that the aerosols get stuck in ). This is why you have to change them frequently if you are using them to expect any kind of benefit.
2: The surgical masks and cotton masks may stop the large particles that people emit while speaking and if a person has an active infection they may stop some large particles. But those particles that can be stopped with masks are so large they fall out of the air within a few feet. Smaller aerosols linger in the air and those masks cannot stop them - some actually make them worse. The nylon masks - for instance - can take large particles of sputum and subdivide them - creating the fine aerosols that linger in the air much longer.
3: The primary mode of transmission is not through aerosol exposure. It is through fomite exposure. That means particles landed on a surface or an infected person spread mucus on a surface like a handle or a doorknob and you touch it - then touch your mucus membranes. This is eyes, nose, mouth, urethra, and anus - pretty much all the live tissue entry locations. You can get this virus if an aerosol particle is in the air and you walk through a field of it - and it gets into your eyes. Its a rare transmission vector and the bollus will be small - but people with a compromised immune system may be vulnerable to such transmission modalities. But primarily - this is spread through close contact and touch.
4: The particle size of the aerosols compared to the fibers in a surgical or cotton mask is akin to a gnat and a chain link fence. If you imagine you can stop a gnat with a chain link fence - then maybe you can imagine you can stop a sub micron sized particle with cotton mesh. its just silly,.
5: The Chinese have been wearing masks since the first SARS outbreak and it has never stopped any transmission. It did not stop the transmission in China - nor can it anywhere else.
6: Masks are primarily about control. Its security theater and a means of imposed social control. There is a reason why one group of people readily accepts them - and its not because they can think for themselves. People needed to be trained to follow a directive from a central authority. That was what the masks represent. That directive also tells them not to visit people, to fear the world, to only watch the approved media, and to hate the orange man. Masks make you feel like you cannot speak, you must be silent, you must comply or you are a bad person that wants someone's grandma to tie.
7: The case fatality rate is only slightly worse than an average influenza. The majority of people that died from this had multiple other underlying health issues and anything could have sent them over the edge. When the average age of mortality from a virus is higher than the average human life expectancy - clearly the virus is not the boogieman it was claimed to be.
8: Vitamin C, Zinc, and Vitamin D are all rate limiters for the immune system and most people that live sedentary lifestyles without supplementation do not get these nutrients sufficiently. This is especially the case with Vitamin D. 85% of the people that die from this virus have vitamin D deficiency. The fact that the body has to do double effort fighting a virus and metabolizing bone for Vitamin D is probably one of the main reasons older people have had such problems with this.
9: The death rate is VERY small. This is not Marburg or Dengue Fever - though the media would love it to be. This is more like influenza. On a typical year Influenza kills 100k people or more. Oddly enough this year - its killing no one - because Covid diagnosis is almost identical and garners a large check from the federal government.
Most of this pandemic has been politicized for the election. It was intentionally released by the Chinese for the election. Democrat governors inexplicably sent covid-19 positive people to nursing homes to convalesce - which caused masses of deaths ( got rid of a lot of medically expensive people whose state pensions were being drawn from too ). The media initially downplayed the virus and its impact until a critical mass was infected then flipped 180 degrees on the issue. The ENTIRE YEAR has been an exercise in the lengths the communists will go through to get rid of an economic populist president.
It is imperative that she understands what she sees in the media is not truth. Sadly - most normies will die in smug, proud ignorance.
