Trump needs to make anti-immigrant EO's more permanent. Get them into law. The problem with EOs are the next president would just overturn them, and make them retroactive (meaning this is just a 4-year halt). EOs mean nothing after your term, unless your name is Obama.
This is why we need the house now. We aren't going to win it in 2022 in all likelihood, so this our one and only chance. If you aren't motivated to vote for President Trump, you need to vote for the House. GO VOTE
I heard Kevin McCarthy today say we are going to take back the House. Take it for what it's worth, but the way he said it was more matter of factly than rah rah drum up the base.
I doubt McCarthy will be much better than Paul Ryan unfortunately. He's rated as one of the most liberal republicans in congress. If we do take back the house, we need to push hard to replace him with Steve Scalise or someone.
I would guess he is expecting his EO to be challenged by some liberal group, and that the Supreme Court will uphold the idea that birthright citizenship was never meant for individuals sneaking into the country only to drop an anchor baby. This would make the EO permanent. He could actually get a lot of “laws” passed this way. Just write EOs that should technically already be the law, and wait for the lawsuit.

I give us a 55% chance. Then the House would be full of MAGA repubs too.

Good idea!
