Americans were asleep during the roll-out of Common Core years ago when Big Tech, the Obama Admin., and corporations (yeah, Bill Gates), lied and rammed through ill-conceived "federalized" content standards that dumbed-down education, took away local control, and took five years to reverse. Now we have BLM. Unfortunately, few people understand that the "Black Lives Matter at School Program" has been infiltrating school districts since 2016. In California, the NEA has sanctioned the use of these materials and they are available to all districts in a resource library. This fall was the organization's "Year of Purpose" to engage ALL districts in the nation with BLM lessons and worksheets. They are being adopted at the district level, but many leftist teachers are using them even without approvals--after all, the NEA has sanctioned their use. Do you know what is being taught at your child's school? ASK. Attend school board meetings. If it is anything like the fight against Common Core, the push-back by local, county, and state boards will be brutal, but only when enough parents speak up en masse will changes be made.
