That was a great episode for those who time in and think Jones is a total nutjob. Jones has a ton of knowledge and he rattles it off so nonchalantly that he sounds crazy.
Having the live fact checking actually really helps get the knowledge out because it makes people realize Jones isn't the caricature that some soundbites show.
I found it annoying too and interrupting Alex's flow. HOWEVER, I think it ended up being a good thing because everything they fact checked came out to be correct. Joe posted on his IG afterwards with a very good defence of AJ and stated that despite AJ saying crazy things - those crazy things are correct!
I agree. It would be one thing if Rogan was getting wasted too, but it’s “Sober October”. Kind of disrespectful to get blitzed in his studio while he is trying to do a show. Would’ve been much better on election night to party like Joe was talking about. I think Jones needs to tone it down his next appearance otherwise he probably won’t get invited back for a while.
I know it may sound weird, but I think Alex Jones is actually a pretty shy guy. I know most people would think no way someone like Alex Jones is shy, but I believe he is. Proof? I act like he does and I'm actually very shy. Its all a front, and him drinking was a distraction/front for himself to get through it.
At the end of the interview he talks about how his job is killing him and he wish he could give it all up but he has staff to take care of and he feels like he just can't stop fighting. It felt really real and genuine and frankly as time goes on my respect for AJ continues to grow. He's one of the few dissenting voices out there and he got wiped off of the social media earth. In a blink of an eye. AJ is a canary in the coal mine to show whats going to happen to all of us some day if we can't somehow stop it.
Yeah I agree he was a bit obnoxious, but frankly he felt toned down a bit on average over his normal self.
I think Joe genuinely likes Alex, the fact checking... I dunno if he was doing it cause of Spotify or what, but its possible he was doing it to prove to people that Alex isn't a nutjob. He probably gets a lot of shit for liking Alex and I think he was less trying to prove Alex wrong, but more show his naysayers that Alex is often right.
Yeah alex said on his show after that he was fine with Joe doing that.
My problem w alex is that he exaggerates too much. Yes he's technically correct but it muddies the point. Like him saying tons of ppl are dying who took the experimental covid vaccines. No, its just 1 person so far and he was in the control group (took a meningitis vaccine) so ppl more likely to dismiss what he says because he's imprecise with his words. However I believe him mainly because he is right about practically everything in the long run. I fully expect more ppl to die or be seriously sickened by the covid vax so I expect he'll be proven right
I'd love for both to cut loose, but the fact checking is very important to get through to the normies watching. They can't handle unfiltered Alex - it just wouldn't be effective. Election night though, Jones is supposed to be back on and both getting hammered. Will see...
The only thing I don't like about Joe Rogan was him attacking James O'Keefe. Must be personal. Rogan has a notoriously thin skin.

Funny, I thought the fact checking was brilliant.
Can you think of a better way to get red pills out to people who are completely out of the loop?

I think Joe didn't exactly attack James, he simply isn't well versed enough. He will change his mind when he has James on the show, I will bet.
