freerepublic - old school conservative forum. has looked and operated the same since 1996. i got banned from there at one point during the Bush administration after calling out one or two of their sacred cow superusers for some really kooky conspiracy stuff, lol. they aren't much fun, but sometimes a good place for info. user base is pretty good actually, just different.
