I never bend the knee but I always like holes and shit and slyly mention shit against the left, while also testing ppl to actually say what trump has done that has wronged them. None of them fucking know. It's blind rage.
Hollywood, NY and msm loved him before he ran. They ALL immediately started their discredit campaign when he won. Too many people only watch msm. Garbage in garbage out.
From personal experience, people tend to dislike him for:
His personality, they're not a fan of the brashness and loud, rude (hilarious) attacks on others
They only watch mainstream news and genuinely believe that he is a racist/fascist/xenophobe
They believe that he's peddling influence and trying to consolidate even more power under the executive branch, usually talking about Russiagate and the police "brutalizing" the "protestors", and the EOs he's signed.
I've found that some people can be brought around on his personality by showing them the policy wins he's had, cutting down on human trafficking, peace deals, etc. If his personality comes up I'll usually say something like "I'm voting for him because of what he's actually doing, not what he's saying".
It's incredibly hard to get people to step away from the MSM ragebait though. It's an addiction like any other, one habit has to be replaced with another. I'm trying to get some people I know to watch Tim Pool and ABL over MSNBC, it's mostly about appearances, they want a calm authoritative person to tell them the news, theyre not ready for high energy like Alex Jones and Salty Cracker.
There's others that I don't even try. I'll throw out red pills here and there if it comes up, but they've usually bought into the fascist/destroying civilization narrative. The red pill just needs the to work.
Also, some of these people don't know about most of the new media. IME, they're mostly genX or older who didn't grow up with the internet based information. They either watch the news on TV that they grew up with, or they watch the same companies online, and it's not even that they want to be uninformed, they just don't know where to start. They don't know about the sea of on the ground reporting and real analysis that exists, we have to ease them into it.
I get why -- because they've been fed a straw man version of Trump. Listen to the democrats and they spin lies so fast, and then you meet trump and realize he's nothing like what the media / democrats portray

My take is that the left were all going to vote Bernie in 2016 and hate that he was not the candidate, but can't wrap their head around their own party doing that to them, so it must be Trump's fault. The biggest thing I keep hearing is the grab 'em by the pussy argument. A large number of my friends are musicians and every single one can tell you from first hand experience that groupies act like that, yet they won't apply that logic to Trump. They also gripe about his tone and the environment.
Honestly I think it's because certain people freak the f out if you support the president so its a way to soften the blow and allow conversation after you break it to them.
after Trump wins and does what he has to do to clean house, there will be a whole lot of converts. people you thought were Trump haters will switch sides. it will be cool to support Trump and the bandwagoners will all join in. it’ll be surreal to see the transformation in people over the next three years.
