The 2016 margins don't mean anything, especially not in absolute numbers. Turnout is insane this election, thanks to the Dems sending out dozens of mail-in ballots to every resident. Many residents basically got daily new ballots delivered right to their doorstep. These are people who in the past never could be arsed to vote, now every crackhead and slacker has a closet full of ballots to fill out and send back, no need to actually leave the house anymore. There's states where the total votes are already more than twice the total of 2016, it's insane. So just taking the 2016 numbers and recalculate the percentage of the black vote doesn't work this way.
Turnout is expected to be at around 62-63%. The 2016 turnout was a little less than 61%. The highest turnout in the last 50 years was Obama in 2008 at 62%. Not that big of a difference. Changing votes from one side to the other will be the difference in this election

I think this point has been rarely brought up, but GEOTUS needs to do about 5% better in 2020 than in 2016 with certain demographics, just to get back to base level in 2016, due to changing demographics and population shifts in certain states.

I am an election official this year. Want to make sure it is all done fairly.
We only need the remaining votes to trend at least 58% for Trump to win the state with a large margin...Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Chesterfield, Montgomery, Suffolk, Loudoun, Henrico, Prince William, Fairfax, Newport News, Albemarle, Portsmouth, and Hampton are all counties and cities where based-ass Trump supporters can maximize their footprint even if they don't win their counties...the majority of the early votes in Virginia are unmarried women and non-college educated white men, 24% of which didn't vote in the 2016 election.
I vehemently despise Loudon county. That's where all the northern decided to reside when they moved to VA.
And assholes moving from Fairfax and Arlington to flee the urban hellscapes they voted to create. And now they'll do it to Loudoun.

Though I don't know much about Loudon county itself, I did used to live in Dale City when I was younger; my grandparents used to live in Alexandria, and my mom's sister and her family still live in Old Town Manassas.
I remember how undeveloped and country-like that entire area of NORVA used to be in the mid 90s, but now every single one of those cities look like a subdivision of Washington DC.
My cousin lives in Prince William county and she has recently started complaining to me about the imported MS13 gang violence in her old neighborhood, and she just started her family.
I really don't get their politics though, because most of my family from my generation used to be solid conservative but over the years my cousins have strayed down that liberal path more and more.
I moved from Northern VA to NC about a month ago. Decided to use my vote in NC but I am pulling for VA!

Hillary only won NH by 3000 votes. Trump will do better this time around. Maine split it's votes last time, and might do that again, but Trump will do better just the same.
I'll vote as always, but living inside the beltway definitely makes it feel hopeless at times.
I will say one thing though, I've been surprised at how strongly a lot of my liberal friends feel against the masks and restrictions at this point. They won't vote Trump either way, but maybe they'll just stay home.

I live in a liberal city, which slightly brings down moral. But my fam is on the west side of the state, where things are clearly very very red. When I visit them, it’s a good reminder that only small portions of VA are cucked - unfortunately those areas have the highest population density.

I live in one of the light blue counties. Depends on where you are it's either all Trump support or all Biden support. You can travel 5 minutes and it's a whole different world.
