Since Texas allows you to vote early at any location in your county, my wife and I made a road trip (~20 min) to a small town and were in and out in 10 minutes.
If you have that option, keep it in mind for next election.
Looked, no small town locations in my county. Did go to smaller area than mine. Lord knows what the nearest one looked like this year, went there in 2018 and it was similar to the less populated one then, but had zero parking left over so I had to walk.

I wondered if that was your situation.... that's why I added "if...".
We live on the edge of a large metro area. Part of the county is heavily populated, but we don't have to drive far to get into a semi-rural area.
