Mods already upgraded the server and fixed the bugs that were causing the problems on debate night.
If all else fails, use the discord or get a pint and wait for it all blow over.

The only crappy part is that they're keeping the comment sections to 50 comments on the big nights or big threads.
Which don't get me wrong, I would take that all day everyday as opposed to the site crashing, but it does suck sometimes to not be able to see all the comments at once.
Again, I don't give a damn though as long as we're able to still function. Other times it mostly sucks just because we want to see what's happening and shitpost live, but on a day like the actual election day we need to remain up for legitimate reasons.
But if they say we're good then I'm sure we're good!
The had a temporary live feature that would auto load comments, but they took it down. It didnt really work very well anyways.

You know, in my head thats true, but I really do hate their post tracking chaos. It works great at making all posts visible at some point and encourages user engagement, but its very difficult to stay organized.
Just click “catalog” and it’s a lot easier to find your post.
I do use the catalog button. Doesnt that only hold like the 50 most recently bumped posts though.
It should be all posts. When I have posted my browser defaults to my post, so then I just refresh the page for responses.
Sage all slide threads, and don’t forget to filter whatever topic of the day the left decides to spam posts of.

u/Doggos the developer mod said that is exactly what it was. They were finally able to isolate the problem and have taken steps to fix it. They believe we will be in good shape on election night and I will take their work for it.

Zeronet would be very difficult to shut down since it's hosted on multiple servers atop the Tor network. One of the major hosts went down 6 months ago due to a hard drive failure. Took him a week to restore. His site never went down - because it was seeded by so many. No one even knew the master site was down. Everything worked exactly as before. It's pretty freaky to see their scheme actually work.
Does not have Donaldwins capacity tho. Still would be a good place to post riot video should it occur. If you posted there - only YOU could remove it. Censorship simply is not possible.
That sort of thing only works for relatively static websites. It couldn't work for a dynamic site with a thriving comment section and frequent updates. Ditto CloudFlare and similar anti-ddos sites. They can mitigate an offensive attack but can't do much if the site collapses or slows down under its own weight.

It's almost always a traffic and bandwidth issue I'm sure...
So it's a good problem to have, but of course it also means it always happens at the worst times....
but you can just about bet that if you get sent to that cloudflare page that says their system is working, that your internet connection is working, and that the problem is server side - that's almost certainly a normal traffic issue.
May I suggest a warm standby hosted at trumpisstillmypresident.win so all commie scum has to type out that phrase in order to attack us.
