Or they could be concerned that if Trump wins he will leave Twitter as payback for them trying to throw the election to Biden.

He will regulate these monopolies into submission more like.

hahah I noticed that too. I looked for stories on why stocks were tanking today, and every single one was a blatant lie.

Stocks are tanking simply due to uncertainty about next week, happens most elections (except in '08 when the market I believe was already falling from April/May of that year leading in to the recession). The day/next day Trump is named the winner, it will rocket back up.

For sure. I figure they'll go off the charts, or dollars won't matter because we're in civil war. Either way, I'm well positioned. :)

How is that good for Twitter? Basically they admitted Trump is so popular he can single handedly make a social media platform worth billions, yet also a guy that popular is definetly going to lose?

Because we live in a retarded clown world. Leftists don't realize how much they need Trump because he takes all the pressure off them. They never need to talk about policy.

Could it be that people are going to ... dare I say it ... ANOTHER PLATFORM? :O

Market overall has tanked a bit this week. Could be a negative sign for Trump. Hopefully not though.

Imagine changing your vote to Biden after the massive overall gains the past four years just because the market had a bad week.

Volitility is where real money is made. There's a lot of dumb people too, though.

Maybe you missed my point. The markets will react to who they perceive the winner of the election will be. If they think Biden will be bad for business, there will be a downturn before the election.

In a "regular" election year I would probably agree with you. I'm just not paying any attention to market volatility this year because it all seems so contrived, especially now. Markets dipped this week and the reason given was literally because some more people have the coof. BFD. Trump is winning.

Wow. Pure crock of shit. I thought Barron's was on the up and up. I guess not.

Missing on user growth... when everybody is supposedly stuck inside... their estimates of growth were off... so... down the stock goes.

thanks for the info

It sounds kinda true. And please, Lord Above don’t let it happen. President Donald J Trump was the only reason I finally joined twitsville a couple months back. It only took me about 3 weeks to get locked out until I apologize to be allowed back on, which I will never do. It was fun that see positive posts from like-minded Citizens and to rile up the libtards, but who needs them when they are so biased against Patriots?

Their stock is tanking for several reasons -

  1. They are admitted censors. Seriously, what person (left or right) wants their avenues of communication blocked?

  2. Their growth is slowing because eventually, platforms run out of people that interested in using them.

  3. Investors are again faced with the question - what VALUE does Twitter generate? This has been Twitter's problem for a decade. They don't produce anything. Other social media giants have figured out how to monetize their base of users. Twitter is just dead in the water. It's a public whiteboard that anyone can view. What a business model!

Trump is winning. This is the spin because they don't know how to tell readers that Orange Man is winning.

I remember a few years ago Twitter did a bus tour coming by our co-working space hyping their whole log in and identity platform, trying to get app developers to build against them. I enjoyed laughing in their faces calling them a dead platform walking. If not for Trump they'd have died 4 years ago.

Twitter also got an undeserved inflation in its stock when Snapchat had that good report 9 days ago. Somehow investors thought it translated to all social media being good. Smh.
