I'm more along the lines of preferring that my vote was for more than bolstering his popular vote totals cause NY thanks to NYC is stuck as a blue state for the foreseeable future.
You did the right thing. I'm in WA and it's the same blue state shit show, but damn it, I'm voting in every election anyway. Maybe it'll be my vote that cancels the blue-haired fat fuck's vote that wants to take away everyone's firearms here. The way I look at it, it's a battle where every soldier has one bullet. I'll be damned if I'm going down without firing mine at the enemy.
When I lived in Seattle my choice for congressman was between 2 democrats. I voted Trump in 2016 but Jill Stein got more votes than Trump did in my precinct(Belltown)
