(it's more like 10-20K; the rest were people who died in a variety of ways and whose remains allegedly tested positive for covid, OR who tested positive up to 28 days earlier) , AND that "there are X number of cases SKYROCKETING in Y state! ; they're all sick/hospitalized/are gonna DIIIIIEEE" (IOW, there are X number of people who tested positive using the PCR test notorious for false positives, AND most of those "skyrocketing" cases that are actually positive will not get sick, much less be hospitalized or die.
Incredible though it seems, there are actually people who think covid is worse than the black death, and who welcome mask mandates and lockdowns. Biden's stated idiocies on covid actually appeals to them.
A relative's girlfriend is a good smart girl from Alabama, and she's like us, but her daughter and her boyfriend are Dem true believers. They're TERRIFIED of coronavirus, to the extent that they get anxiety and a sense of doom whenever they leave the house. They believe the utter, provable bullshit doom-and-gloom on CNN/MSNBC. But hey, if they were bright enough to see through it, they wouldn't be Dems and wouldn't be watching CNN/MSNBC, so there's that. I, my relative and his GF live our lives according to the real science, meaning almost normally at this point (masks when in supermarkets, etc. but that's about it) and we laugh at the two of them and how gullible they are.
I mean, while it was nastier in the spring and summer, at THIS point with viral attenuation and much better understanding and treatments, it's basically just like the seasonal flu in mortality/hospitalization rate, and nobody freaks out and gets terrified about the flu.
However, this dumb irrational fear means these people are too terrified to vote in person, and several analysts have pointed out that 2%+ of mail-in votes tend to get lost. This means GEOTUS, without expending any effort or resources, gets a completely-legal 2%+ automatic cancellation of these morons' Biden votes. Yay!
Yeah, and Biden's end-of-the-world lockdown crap appeals to dumb people like them, but for every one of them there's probably four people who are turned off by it.
