I went to early vote in California today. It was a little weird because I was the only one in my household to not receive a mail in ballot. When I went to my polling place, they tried to look me up and couldn't find me. They said I should vote with a provisional ballot, and I refused. I had looked up my registration a few weeks ago, and it said I was active and that there were no problems. They kept on insisting I vote with a provisional ballot, and I kept on refusing.

I had to literally pull up my registration status on my phone to confirm that I was registered and active. The weirdest thing was that the address that was listed under my registration was different than my home address (it was some random address I've never seen before). I have not had a problem with my registration or the address since I first registered when I was 18 and have been at the same mailing address the entire time. And I'm pretty sure it was not like this the last time I checked a few weeks ago.

Anyways, they managed to get a higher up to look it up and found that I was a registered voter, so I was able to vote with a real ballot. They had me fill in a change of address form, and when they did that for some reason it took off my party affiliation. Since I think I could change that after the election and the party affiliation does not really change who I'm voting for, I did not insist that they change it to what it should be.

I am not sure if this was some kind of glitch or something? Or is this some kind of sign of voter fraud? And if so who should I report this to? I tried to look it up and I didn't really know if there was someone I should call or some form I should fill in? So if any of you guys have any thoughts on that I would like to know. And if it's just me being paranoid I would not mind being given a reality check.

I'm in SoCal and have been registered as GOP for years in a redish county. My ballot came in the mail just fine (to my surprise). I plan on turning it in Nov2
