Take a look at the major characters from the Old Testament, and you will find all of the "Seven Deadly Sins." God doesn't use people because of their strengths. He uses them in spite of their weaknesses.

Exactly this! When you understand this, it makes the story of Jesus so much sweeter. I feel like so many Christians don't get this until they become serious in their faith. Took me decades and I feel like I have just scratched the surface.

Amen. I've loved the LORD every since I could remember. I've forgotten that many times and tried to walk my own path. Then I got serious in 1994. I knew God was trying to lead me. The trials of life didn't get easier but I knew that they had a purpose. I just trusted the LORD. It was awesome to see how God would turn situations around. But I was still holding back. A few weeks ago, I turned everything over to the LORD, everything. And now the Holy Spirit is asking me to do things that are not in my tool set. I'm 60 and I feel like I have just begun.
