This should be one of those trials that lasts a couple hours. It will probably last a couple days.
As for prison, he should be bailed out immediately to await trial. Get on with it.

The bail issue is a good thing we should look into. In Illinois, they set it at either $1 or $2 million (can’t remember) CASH. That was ridiculous.
Hopefully this is different in WI, for the better. However, I also wonder if he is able to make bail in WI, would he be allowed to stay at home?
I think there are enough Trump voters in this country to make bail. Personally, I just need to know it's going to the right place, then I'll donate.
